Our Team

Michael N. Bonner / Founder - CEO

Michael Bonner has more than 20 years of experience in investing in the distressed real estate sector across various asset classes to include single family, multi-family, commercial and developable land. Since his entry into the real estate arena, Michael has engaged in the purchase and re-sale of more than 250 properties.

Prior to launching PropertyPilot, he was the founder and CEO of Cherrystone Bay LLC, which purchased, renovated and resold mortgage and tax lien foreclosures throughout New Jersey. During his career as a real estate professional, Michael has focused on developing a proprietary database that offers an in-depth view of properties subject to foreclosure. He has incorporated this database into PropertyPilot along with other valuable search, mapping, project management and analytical features.

Michael has had decades of direct personal experience working in all aspects of distressed real estate investing to include Sheriff Sale Acquisitions, Short Sales, Mortgage Investments, and Tax Lien Investment and Construction/Renovation. He is also a licensed New Jersey realtor.

David Gross / Director of Marketing

David Gross is a driven marketing professional with a passion for online customer acquisition who deeply understands the nuanced mechanics of executing successful, highly optimized, cross-channel marketing campaigns. David brings a unique and valuable perspective to the PropertyPilot team, where his real estate experience perfectly compliments his command of digital marketing. He has 8 years of real estate investment and brokering experience. Before PropertyPilot, David was an Investment Sales broker at CBRE, the world's largest real estate company, where he led the Private Capital Group in New York City's Outer Boroughs. David graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor's in Business Administration. He has completed a Graduate Certificate at New York University in Real Estate Finance.

Jamie Cryan / Director of Business Development

Jamie Cryan joined PropertyPilot to contribute his banking and governmental expertise. He provides strategic counsel and oversees the day-to-day operations for a number large banks and municipalities. Prior to joining the team, Jamie managed residential lending activity for 12 branches at The Provident Bank since 2008.

While at The Provident Bank, Jamie was named a Five Star Outstanding Mortgage Professional for 2013 in NJ Monthly Magazine. The New Jersey Banker’s Association and New Jersey Banker Magazine named Cryan as a leader at work and in the community by honoring him as a 2012 New Leader in Banking. The award recognizes up-and-coming New Jersey bankers who have proved to be outstanding leaders in their profession and in the community.

Jamie currently serves as a Commissioner to the Hudson County Planning Board, and was unanimously chosen Vice Chairman by his fellow commissioners. Since 2011, he has served as Chairman of the Hoboken Democratic Committee, leading 80 committee seats across 6 wards.

Jamie is an active board member with Habitat for Humanity of Hudson County, where he has served as Volunteer Coordinator, Chairman of the Volunteer Committee and a member of the Family Selection Committee, assisting potential borrowers with credit counseling setting them on the path to home ownership.

He helped coordinate the backpack program for the United Way of Hudson County, which distributes more than 21,000 bags filled with supplies for children in need and took part in a financial literacy program with Junior Achievement of New Jersey. He served as “Principal for a Day” in Jersey City’s Franklin L. Williams Middle School.

Jamie was named Irishman of the Year for 2013 and Honorary Italian Man of The Year for 2011 in Hudson County.

Prior to his career in banking, Cryan served as Senior Account Supervisor in the Internet Marketing Strategies Group at Edelman Worldwide where he contributed his interactive and telecommunications experience. He served as account supervisor for Harris Interactive, a leading market research and polling firm, and MCI’s Internet & Data Solutions account. Jamie oversaw the day-to-day operations for Icon Medialab AB, one of the leading global e-business and Internet professional services firms.

Past client work included creating and implementing image and brand building campaigns, strategic counseling and media relations for AT&T Labs, AT&T WorldNet Services, Bayer, i33 communications, Cornell University, George Mason University, Philips, Rolling Thunder, InsightExpress, RestuarantTrade and Tucows. Jamie started his career with the U.S. Senate Steering Committee where his duties included speechwriting, lobbying and legislative research.
Jamie is a cum laude graduate of Seton Hall University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree double majoring in Political Science and Marketing. He currently resides in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Anthony Velasquez, Esq. / General Counsel

Anthony L. Velasquez, Esquire, is legal counsel to PropertyPilot.com and he also authors legal and real estate articles for the company. He has been a licensed attorney practicing in NJ for over 15 years. His practice focuses on real estate investments, transactions and developments, commercial litigation, tax liens, mortgages and foreclosures. Mr. Velasquez has argued successfully on behalf of his clients before all levels of the NJ Superior Courts and the NJ Supreme Court, in addition to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He was counsel on the landmark case before the NJ Supreme Court Simon v. Cronecker, 189 N.J. 304 (2007), which established the rights of third party buyers of distressed property in New Jersey tax foreclosure cases. Prior to opening his own law firm in 2005, Mr. Velasquez was at attorney at Hill Wallack and Kaplin Stewart, both in Central Jersey. He served his judicial clerkship for the NJ Office of Administrative Law where he served multiple administrative law judges on a variety of regulatory matters. Mr. Velasquez earned his Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College), his Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Eagleton Institute of Politics, Rutgers University, and his Juris Doctorate law degree from Rutgers University, School of Law at Camden. He has lectured throughout New Jersey on a variety of legal topics including litigation, real estate and foreclosure, and he has been an adjunct professor at The College of New Jersey where he has taught business law.
